Sun Devils got to leave it all on the dance floor at the West prom

After a tough semester, Sun Devils deserved to have some fun and let off some stress before finals. That is why the Undergraduate Student Government at ASU’s West campus decided to host a fun-filled night for all students to enjoy.

On April 17, students got the chance to dress their very best and come together for a masked-up Starry Night Prom at ASU’s West campus, where there were games, music and lots of dancing. There were mocktails and to-go dinner packs, too.

USG-West immediate past President Natalie Carranza, 22, said that the Programming and Activities Board wanted to treat Sun Devils with an event that could safely bring them together and be social.

“This was extra special for many freshmen students who did not get a prom due to COVID-19,” Carranza said.

At the formal dance, the winners of that day’s Sparky’s Spring Survival Games, a day full of competitive games where students got to participate, were announced.

To top it all off, students were not only treated to a lively DJ inside the ballroom but also a jazz band outside, where the students could eat and drink and enjoy their time under the starry night sky.

“PAB and USG West teamed up to give students a day full of fun, music and social interactions after such a long time without seeing each other. And after this past year, they deserve it more than anything,” Carranza said.
