What you need to know for 2021 football gamedays
The 2021 football season will be the first opportunity that many Sun Devils have had to ignite the Inferno after the challenges and shutdowns of the pandemic. So save the date and get your spirit gear ready: Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of every home game this season. #ForksUp, Devils!
The first football game of the season is Thursday, Sept. 2. The Sun Devils will face Southern Utah at Sun Devil Stadium. The Inferno — the loud and proud student section — will be showing fans the traditions that make ASU home games so spirited.
To make the most of game day, there are a few things you need to know. What should you wear? What should you bring? What can you expect (other than a Sun Devil victory and a really good time)?
Remember these tips:
Claim your FREE student ticket on the ASU mobile app. Remember to download your ticket to your phone’s wallet. Please note: Screenshots won’t work with the updated ticket system! You’ll have to either save the ticket to your wallet or pull up the ticket on your phone at the game, which can be tricky depending on cell service. Students should enter the stadium via the Southeast gate.
Check for updates on the clear-bag/no-bag policy.
Wear gold!
Save the date for the rest of the home football games this season. Wear gold unless otherwise noted:
Sept. 2 versus Southern Utah — wear gold!
Sept. 11 versus UNLV — wear gold!
Sept. 25 versus Colorado — wear gold!
Oct. 8 versus Stanford — wear maroon! This is the Maroon Monsoon game.
Oct. 30 versus Washington State — wear black! This is the Homecoming blackout game.
Nov. 6 versus USC — wear gold!
Nov. 27 versus Arizona (AKA the Territorial Cup. Cheer on the Sun Devils to keep the cup in Tempe!). Wear gold! Beat the cats!
Help light up the Inferno this season. Go Devils!
